I've been serving in ministry since I was ten years old. I started as the youngest member of the New Hope Baptist Church Intermediate Choir, and that audition also got me into my second music ministry position as a member of the Upsala College Gospel Choir (East Orange, NJ). However, I really didn't understand the weight of such until GOD called me to serve tweens and teens eighteen years later, after HE called me to take back Arts & Entertainment for HIM. HE then took our young and fast-growing family on our very own wilderness-type of journey, far away from all that we knew - as HE did Abram and Sarai - teaching us to truly trust in and to worship only HIM. Through it, we gained an education like no other. In the midst of all manner of challenges, HE used us to minister to people with all manner of challenges, ultimately leading my husband Anthony, myself, and two of our eldest children to become licensed ministers ten years later. Anthony and I were ordained four years after that. During our time in ministry school, I kept thinking about you, and how all of the emphasis was on preaching, but GOD had already told me that HE wanted me to share THE GOSPEL through other mediums, like plays and movies, books, and songs. So, although I prepared to minister GOD'S WORD like everyone else, I never got to practice doing so - in the context of the training - in my lane, and in some ways struggled with the feeling that I didn't belong. This program was created to give you the opportunity to learn to serve, indeed, but it was also created to give you the opportunity to practice serving GOD through HIS people, in your specific creative call. Whether you serve as part of a larger ministry or GOD has called you to start a small one of your own, this program is exactly where you belong!
